Common Questions
RMT Massage FAQ
What is the difference between RMT massage and spa massage?
Registered Massage Therapists in Ontario are regulated health professionals. An RMT appointment includes appropriate health-history review, assessment, treatment planning and clinical documentation. Spa massage may focus primarily on relaxation and may not be provided by a regulated RMT.
Can I get an RMT receipt for insurance?
Yes. Charles Guo is a CMTO-registered massage therapist. Official RMT receipts are provided for eligible massage therapy services. Reimbursement depends on your individual insurance plan.
Is deep tissue massage supposed to hurt?
Deep tissue massage may use firmer pressure, but treatment should remain within your comfort level. Pressure can be adjusted at any time, and communication during the session is encouraged.
How often should I book massage therapy?
Frequency varies according to your symptoms, goals, health history, schedule and response to care. Charles can discuss follow-up options after your assessment.
Can I combine massage therapy and acupuncture in one visit?
Yes. Charles is registered as both an RMT and an Acupuncturist, so both services can be booked during the same visit when desired. Each service is documented separately.
Where is 4Seasons Massage & Acupuncture located?
